Read Village, Wis: Where Readers, Books and Wisconsin Meet

ReadVillage is an ebook review Web site with a Wisconsin and Midwestern geographical focus. The site’s founders, Mayor Kathryn and Village Trustee Annette, will provide you with insightful book reviews, delightful blog commentary, and a daily dose of humor.

Take some time to look around the site and read a few of our reviews — and please make note of our exclusive cheese wedge rating system. Five wedges mean you’ll want to download the fiction or nonfiction gem that will enrich your life almost as much as the view from the top of Holy Hill in southeast Wisconsin, a Friday night fish fry, or a Packers drubbing of the Bears. But if a book has earned a rating from us as just a single slice of Limburger, don’t worry. That means the book may have an off smell in some spots, but we still rate it as Wisconsin-worthy.

The Read Village.com winding road

Let the Read Village administrators help you find some great books by Wisconsin authors.

We’re onto something here at Read Village.com. We are two Wisconsin-born, college educated women with backgrounds in news, community journalism, politics, literature, advertising, and motherhood who love to read good books, dive into local newspapers, talk about interesting ideas, and laugh about the ridiculous.

So become a citizen! Join us in our desire to read and talk about where we live.

After all, we’re just brave enough to think that one little region, 60,000 square miles in size, located in the middle of the United States, might be the spiritual, political, and literary center of a nation.
